What is chlorine-resistant swimwear?

Chlorine-resistant swimwear is made from specially treated polyester fabric that resists damage from pool chemicals. Brands like Zoggs use fabrics such as Aqualast (100% chlorine proof) and Hydrolife (200+ hours of pool use) that retain their colour, shape, and elasticity far longer than standard nylon or lycra swimwear.

What swimwear sizes does The Bra Shop stock?

The Bra Shop Australia stocks women's swimwear from sizes 8 to 30, including a wide range of plus-size and full-figure swimwear. We also stock men's, boys', girls', and infant swimwear. Our range includes one-pieces, bikinis, tankinis, swim shorts, rash tops, and swim nappies.

How do I choose the right swimsuit?

Choose a swimsuit based on your primary activity (lap swimming, beach, leisure), your size, and your coverage preference. For lap swimming, choose a chlorine-resistant one-piece with a secure back. For beach and leisure, bikinis, tankinis, and swim shorts offer more variety. For plus sizes, look for suits with underwire, tummy control panels, and wide adjustable straps for extra support.

How do I care for my swimwear?

Rinse swimwear in cool fresh water immediately after use to remove chlorine, salt, or sunscreen. Hand wash with a mild soap and lay flat to dry in the shade — never machine dry or wring. Avoid sitting on rough surfaces like concrete as this damages lycra fibres. Rotating between two swimsuits helps each one last longer.
